2009-10-31Sara10101010YesThank you so much for this great response! It has helped out alot! I have a child of my own so I know how easily it would crush another parent having someone tell them what they think about their child but this has really helped out alot in this situation. Thanks again! I'm really glad I found this site!

2009-08-14cetta10101010NoYou are a very special person. As you see with my worry i have read alot of posts and answers. You can find alot of people with alot of expertise but not alot of people who can translate to mothers in a way that is honest but comforting as well. You have a special touch. You have helped me and i know countless others. Thanks again. I will let you know how it goes.
2009-08-12grandma10101010Nothank you
2009-08-10Shannon10101010NoI can never thank you enough for your bluntness and expertise. The way you explain things with such detail gives us great comfort and knowledge. I will take your advice and enjoy my son now. Thank you again.
2009-08-03Shannon10101010NoThank you so much. You have put my mind at ease and I think I will ask the OT from Early On if she thinks he needs therapy or just to keep in eye on him. I know he has sensory issues and have gone to that website, but his seem very minor to what I saw on it. I'm hopeful that they will go away as he matures since his system is more premature with being born early. Thank you again and I'm so glad I found this website.

2009-07-21Ashley10101010YesThank you so much for your response, you definitely put my mind at ease. In the 2 weeks since I asked you the question, I have seen a dramatic improvement in my son's eye contact and he is starting to become more interested in objects/toys too. He now looks right into my eyes and smiles when I smile. I think it just took a little time for his vision to develop as you said. Thank you for putting my mind at ease. These past 2 weeks have been the best yet with him because I have stopped worrying and am just enjoying him! Thanks for everything.

2009-07-08Nan8101010YesThank you for your super fast response and further information links. You never want anything to be wrong with your family members but the intelligent side of you tells you that you must be proactive so that if necessary they get the help they need. This is a great service for parents and other to use. Thanks so much.

2009-05-17Suvant10101010YesThank you for assuring me that it's not me. You're right - she is a pleasant child when she's not having an episode. I understand what you mean by the paraprofessional. I have seen students at other schools when I have worked as a substitute teacher with an assistant that was assigned specifically to them. I did mention this to my Principal and her response was "What was the population?" Not, "Maybe we can get someone to volunteer to sit with her." Unfortunately, their main focus seems to be receiving tuition money. For example, she told the parent that she's had many years of experience dealing with children and she can just "talk to her." I think she's more afraid that the parent will send the child to another school. The school only has a couple of grades (about 30 students in the whole school). They don't have enough funding to even hire a substitute when I take off - the other teacher has to take my class for the day and I have to take her class when she takes off. I will continue to call the office as she has an episode. The school year ends .....
