The sales guy made no bones about the fact it is absolutely the best choice for gamers & when I told him I'm not a gamer, he simply said it's still the best computer for the money in the store...along w/ Gateway as a solid 2nd best choice. I guess you're right about the rest being about equal since this is my 4th Dell computer and I've had Sony, Toshiba & Compaq laptops in the past. I currently have an HP laptop that unfortunately runs on Vista, which is extremely slow & not fun to navigate as compared to my desktop's XP OS. I've held onto the desktop this long because of Vista. Maybe Windows 7 will be a better experience if & when I buy a new desktop. I'll try the reformat & see if it fixes the slowness & the lack of sound..... Thanks again! |
