2009-10-26Chris991010NoThanks Pamela, it turns out that I was only able to really delete the footnote when I turned off "track changes." With tracking on, even if I went to the deletion and accepted that change, the ghost footnote remained somewhere invisible. When I turned tracking off and deleted the footnote, it really disappeared for good and the numbering all went back to normal.
