2009-02-02Marc10101010YesThe IRS has made the tax system so complex with all the variables that it's full of holes. Parson's (Now Quicken I think)had a program with what if's that allowed be to to pay less tax by shifting money around. To bad my math is not that good. It would be interesting to compute the growth with and without the annuity. The sum might be less but all tax free.

2009-01-22Irv (Irving)10101010YesThank you AGAIN for your dedication to my questions. The CFP whom I consulted last year only reviewed my 2007 Fed tax form. It looks like I'll have to wait for maturation of the program and hope they sell it at a profit not a loss then I can apply the tax credits towards the gain (didn't knew that prior to your response)since both of us are now retired. The CFP I'm afraid didn't ask many if any questions, he is not fee based. I no longer work with him. He also sold us some other inappropriate products.Again thank you so very much. Irv
