2009-11-04Rachel10101010YesThank you again for your help. It still amazes me that you ask questions and offer these explanations...I am so used to the short/unhelpful discussion with any doctors I visit. I am glad to know that the abortion is not likely the culprit. I will be returning to work soon, and will be in-tune to whether my stomach pain remains subtle or gains intensity. I will not be going to the gym too soon, but I will remember to avoid excessive exercise in the future. I did call the clinic to find out how my abortion was done, and what the results of my follow-up visit were, but I have to send a release of records request before I can know this information. I just think it is an important part of my medical history that I should know and understand. I think I am emotionally ok, but if I ever have a pregnancy in the future, I think I would be fooling myself to think it won't bring back thoughts and emotions. (Of how I was a mother, and physically experienced it for 4 weeks, and I let that privilege go.) And I think that's normal to .....

2009-10-16Rachel10101010Yesthank you for taking the time to answer. I am a health fanatic, and did not expect to hear a health professional discuss the ugly side of pills or tests like the CT scan (it was refreshing). I sat on my bed for a long time before I took the colonoscopy pills and drink. I wouldn't have done it if I knew in the end they would tell me, "we could run every test till you're 95 and nothing will show." That same man also got infuriated with me when I wouldn't take the Donnatol he prescribed. He said," how do you expect me to help you if you dont try to see if the medication works?" I personally left there feeling like a guinea pig. Isn't there some other way he could know if I had IBS other than seeing if a barbituate helps? I thought you would appreciate hearing what kind of doc's are out there. Again, Thank you for hearing me and bringing to light the medications used at abortion clinics.

2009-09-16Trish10101010YesThank you so much for your advice. I REALLY appreciate it, more that you know. Don't worry, I won't be having another one. I figure all things happen for a reason and CLEARLY it's just time for me to have a child. Once again, thank you for your guidance. :-)

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of six. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
