2009-10-09ernie10101010NoHi Paul, thanks again for your answer. As usual, I didn't think that the answer would be as complicated as it is. But you've clarified things for me. Thanks again. Ernie

2009-08-08Tom10101010YesWell, I guess that takes care of my question. I think I'll look at a NexStar 8" orange tube or 4" Mak (if I can get one WITH a dependable mount). Thanks, Paul!

2008-12-30Steve7101010YesAlthough Paul had no direct experience related to my particular problem, he directed me to another source of expert help. I was very impressed with the response time; a matter of a few hours. Although I understand that such a rapid response would not always be possible, I greatly appreciate Paul's extremely prompt reply. Many thanks.

2008-09-07Anon10101010NoThank You for your response although I'm not convinced 100% with the answer. We have video recordings and images that prove yesterdays experience was a unique one and sophisticated much of higher intelligence particularly with the speed and co-ordination of the journey of these irregular lights flying overhead of buildings.
2008-05-13Tom10101010NoThanks, Paul. It's still a bit less than simple for someone like me, but much better than before. I think I can muddle through thanks to your help. Oh, how do you get high megnifications with no platform? I can't change eyepieces without losing the object.
2008-04-25Nathan10101010YesThanks Paul you response will be very helpful, and i'll be checking the tracking on the next clear night.
2008-04-05mike10101010YesPaul, thank you very much. I'm thinking it must be a star then, as I believe it is too high to be on a mtn, etc. It's not clear enough to tell that the red & green are on any particular side. What a great service this is, especially to have knowledgable people like you who volunteer their time. Thanks again.
2008-03-20Tom10101010YesYou've helped a great deal! I talked to the the guy & I think I'll get it. He says it's adjustable up to 5 deg. Thanks so much. Clear skies.
2008-03-03Alex Simon10101010YesThanks for the quick response. With the equipment I have it will be like perform- ing brain surgery with a 5 foot scalpel; it can be done, but very carefully. Alex Simon Ocoee, FL
