I send you much appreciation and respect. FYI -- I happen to be an attorney and handle a lot of regulatory and contract work. After posing my question to you, I actually found and read the relevant county ordinance. I then contacted the Towing Compliance Officer for Palm Beach County and the Assistant Chief of Police for Boca Raton who handles the city's contract with the towing company. In summary, the tow company was double billing, charging for for the wrong equipment class and invoicing for unauthorized charges (e.g., "winch fees"). After receiving a phone call from the police department, the VP of the towing company immediately appologized repeatedly and took $760 of of my towing bill. I ultimately paid $903 for towing, 5 days of truck storage and a week of boat/trailer storage, which seems more than fair to me... |

Professional towing and recovery operator for 30 Plus years, dealing with light to heavy duty towing operations... Nationally certified by various agencies - associations.. Been answering questions here for 4 + years now on AllExperts. I know that many people do not understand vehicle towing when ordered by Law Enforcement or from Private Property Parking lots, which I will try to help with. BUT, I DO NOT AND WILL NOT answer any RV TOWING ISSUES, or actual law cases or proposed cases...
Experience
I have 30+ years of towing experience dealing with everything from Light duty ( cars and pickups ) to tractor trailer rigs, motor homes and buses.. Motor clubs to police calls, lockouts to jumpstarts and tows. I have experienced alot of fun times doing my job. Some have been good experiences and some of have been heart wrenching experiences.
