2009-08-11Mike10101010Yes Thank you, that has solved the problem. Those 68040/68060 Libs are very confusing if you do not know what they are meant to be doing. Regards, Mike.
2009-07-04andy10101010Yesthank you so much, it worked and I can use the computer now!
2009-05-09Shaun10101010Nothanks greg will give those options a try shaun

2009-04-12Jonas10101010YesIt was the answer I was expecting and it is demanding to expect a 20 year old computer to work perfectly after having been stored for about 5 years. Good and quick advice. Many thanks
2008-11-07Gary10101010YesThank you very much for the quick response, ill get some new workbench disks and let you know!
2008-10-03Matt Windsor1010910YesThanks for the answer! Unfortunately, I'd already gone to an IRC network and asked, and eventually caused even more problems to the Amiga by trying to clean out the mess on the motherboard.

2007-12-03Richard10101010YesThank you Gregory, your advice really helped me a lot. And thank you for the super quick response. I've found another used A600 and it's fairly cheap so I'm gonna buy it. I'm gonna keep the old one as spare parts, after all the HD and diskdrive still works. They might come in handy some day. Thank you again /Richard
2007-11-20Jon10101010Yesthanks! hopefully i can find a cheap replacement!
2007-11-10Robert9101010YesThere was supposed to be a method of installing workbench on the hd through WinUAE which is an amiga emulator, it was supposed to be as simple as putting the hd back in the amiga as soon as I was done. decided to order the stock floppy drive(the modified floppy died last night) the floppy cable, the HD cable, and replace the kick 3.0 roms with kick 3.1 roms. also have ordered workbench 3.1 (New)to go with it. hopefully this should fix the amiga entirely.

2007-10-17Larry10101010Yesawesome help. will be back for more advice soon. VERY FAST
2007-10-14Robert10101010YesThanks, I managed to find a set of workbench 3.0 disks, so I should be able to get it running with those. otherwise I might try to create a floppy set from some workbench 3.0 adfs (If I can find those) to be sure.
2007-08-09Loris10101010NoThaks! Very useful, i have only to search my install disk :D
2007-07-19Robin D Lings10101010NoMany thanks for your prompt reply Gregory. I had already tried pushing any non surface mounted chips in (Anti static precautions observed)and also tried the computer with just motherboard and daughter board fitted - I assume the disc prompt would normally still appear on the screen in this circumstance? I have checked the output of the power supply and get the 12, 5 and -12v OK. I have also tried a different monitor connected without the genlock and still no joy. I am temporarily getting by with an old A500 but without a hard drive on this I am struggling. I live in Spain but will try the Amiga place you mentioned in your reply. Thanks again and if you come up with any other suggestions please advise me. Robin Lings.

2006-10-27Alan Levy8101010YesI appreciate you for responding so promptly. I think your advice is excellent. I am a novice at electronics and have soldered on my motherboard, so replacing it is not too difficult. Thanx again!
