She was able to clear up a lot of things for me at a time when I was dealing with a large loss of a house to fire and had a lot of different people all telling me similar but slightly different things. This include the insurance agency, their contractor, a few independent contractors, and several public adjusters! In the end her advice made a lot of sense and opened my eyes and made everything clear. She really helped to relieve a lot of stress and worry that I had about the whole situation! |

We have since spoken with the adjuster (after yet another lengthy reading of the policy) and you are mostly correct, although there is still some ambiguity (on purpose, I believe) where we can make arguments. Fences fall in here. He did state that the large potted palms are personal property, and as they are pretty expensive due to their size, we may come out ahead there. He waffled a little when I reminded him that the pool house had a wall (actually two), not a fence between it and the house, effectively making it an attached structure. Anyway, we will probably end up maxing out our Dwelling Extension and Trees, etc. coverage, and will have to settle for a few lesser replacements, but we are making progress. I appreciate your very quick and thorough responses. |
