She may have ingested something the other cat left bile on before he began feeling noticeably ill. We did have her checked out with blood work and x-rays just in case and she is fine, thankfully. |

Vet said her gums were inflamed again was hurt in her to eat also. He only gave her a cortisone shot, he said was bout the same as antibiotics and he didn't think I would want to hv her a pill every day.Yes it I'TS difficult to hv her meds w no teeth she has a hard time and gays sometimes,but I don't care what I hv to do I just want her to be OK.Is there a cure for any of this that you know. I asked about the type of auto immune etc he said hv to Dona biopsy to get that info, but I was trying to get more specific details so I really could do my best to help her. I wasn't to please w what he did. And didn't hv her anything for the pain either. I wish there was vets that would donate their services just because it is in their heart, I'm running out of money ..... |

I may have been working myself up into a frenzy with worry but it's good to know perhaps my worst case scenario of a brain tumor may not be the case when she is eating healthy and looking healthy. How could anyone do that, never mind most people?! It is so sad!! Those poor babies! Anyone who is cruel to an animal needs to be severely disciplined. I do almost all the things you mentioned with my to cats at home who are in and out door cats. As it is with Cali our office kitty she is going for a check-up with the vet we have as her doctor tomorrow. Cali seems to nto be feeling well. She is off her food, a little lathargic and her fur is a little rough and not as lush as usual. Thank you again for your advise, well taken. |

The areas in which I have gained the most experience are cat health and feral cat management/rescue. I provide supportive care to chronically ill cats, hospice care to terminally ill cats and also am involved in trap-neuter-return efforts. My specialities lie in taming feral cats and in the allopathic treatment of cats with illnesses or special needs. I also have owned Siamese, Himalayans, Abyssinians, Russian Blues, Savannahs, Bengals, Peterbalds, Don Sphynx and Oriental Shorthairs and am well-versed in cat breeds as well as cat behavior and nutrition.
Experience
I have 15 years of extensive experience with cats ranging from breeding to medical care. My daily routine consists of caring for cats with diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney failure, feline leukemia, feline AIDS as well as feral cats. I have experience with liver patients, heart patients, feline infectious peritonitis, cancer, recovery from amputation and trauma, congenital deformities and most every disease in between. I have assisted cats giving birth and hand-nursed kittens who were neglected by their mother from 2 days old through weaning.
