2011-02-21Juana How to trap a101010YesThank you so much Jessica I will try my best. I have gotten mama cat to eat out of my hand so do I know some where she does want to trust me. Earlier I managed to save one of her kittens before it turned and she has since become a lap cat, she's very sweet. So I feel good about saving a life. Peace Juana
2011-02-21Juana How to trap a101010YesI had a feeling this was not going to be a piece of cake. I appreciate your suggestions anyway. I am using a humane trap which I purchased just for these kitties. I do have a little rapport with them maybe it will work out all right. Thank you Juana
2011-02-12MoeMassive blood in urine101010NoThank you so much for your detailed response. Unfortunately Church was so weak by the morning that she went into shock and her vet said it was best to put her down. She was in so much pain and the vet said it was cancer and had spread to her brain. I'm struggling to deal with her passing. It all happened so fast I am filled with guilt. I miss her so much and I wish that I could have saved her but she went downhill at rocket speed. She was amazing and like no other.
2011-02-11Idalameness following abscess.101010YesThank you so much Jessica, for taking the time to reply in such depth. I think I see a slight improvement today and he seems to be getting about with less difficulty. The vet did suggest the vitamin B injection which you mention, which pleases me I couldnīt see how vitamins would help so I didnīt take the cat back to have it, but thank you for explaining why it may indeed help, and I shall definately try it out and mention the steriods to follow up should they be necessary.

2011-01-24InaOld cat101010YesDear Jessica, Thank you very much for your kind answer. As you said it might happened, he is a little bit better (probably using his 7 life:). He starts eating and walking but very hard and slowly. Now I am confused, because he wants to eat and purrs when I pet him. I will wait for for few days to see how hs is doing. It is very sad to look at him so fragile, walking hard and can't see, especialy knowing that he is very old and cant be much better, but It is also hard for me to put him assleap now when he stars eating and purring when I pet him:( Best regards, Irina

2011-01-19Nickurination out of litter101010Yesthank you very much! We tried the feliway already and seemed to work somewhat, but was very, very expensive to continue; hopefully the cat attract will work and we will get some vertical space for them. Thanks Jessica!...Nick
2011-01-19CarolHair pulling91010YesThanks for the help! I'll run out tomorrow and buy the safe dewormer and a larger supply of kitten food. she seems to prefer wet food so she has plenty of that with a bit of added water. Apparently both the closet and the bos are not satisfactory, she has taken up residence in my bathtub (I plugged the drain in case lol) It is nice to get a simple, easy to understand, direct answer after so many different opinions and advise from the multiple sources I've contacted. Still don't know what Im doing but I feel a bit more confident than I did b4!

2011-01-12Nolajacsudden cat death7910YesJessica, Thank you so very much for your time and consideration. You have helped to ease the pain. I felt so responsible. In a way I was but I take your point that I wasn't to know ( the severity). If only I had taken more notice of his increased appetitie and prominent spine... I did love him dearly though perhaps did not always have patience with him .. he tended to dawdle and meander in front of me when I'd be in a hurry..... Its only when you lose a life ,a friends life that you fathom how precious it actually is. Many blessings to you!
2011-01-10amanda15 year old male101010Yeswow, thank you so much. your answer was very helpful and gave much detail.

2010-12-28fernandCat is making choking101010YesJessica, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! I did take him to the vet today because I couldn't take seeing him in pain anymore and not eating. You were right, he has to get a dental cleaning and if they find further problems, he might need to have a tooth taken out. After we got home today, although I can tell it still hurt him, he did eat a little and stop on and off from the pain, poor guy :( but tomorrow is the day and he'll recover soon :) thank you again! you are the best!
2010-12-27Samgagging cat101010NoThank you for your reply and advice. I took him to the vets today. It was the emergency vets because it is bank holiday, but was worth it. They said they don't think he has a blockage, but they have given him an anti inflamatry and antibiotic to see how he goes and we can take him back wednesday if we need to. Thank you again

2010-12-19KathyAggressive Stray attacked Indoor101010NoDear Jessica, I want to thank you for giving me hope! I wrote regarding the stray I just had neutered 2 weeks ago who attacked one of the house cats as if he were prey. I never intended to have 3 cats, but I know cats have a way of finding their way into one's life. I will be relocating soon and the stray kitty will be coming with me. I have lots of patience. Thank you again--A great Christmas present from you to me--HOPE. Be well and good cheer to you, Kathy
