2009-08-19Harry10101010YesJack, Thank you so much for your information. I went to the map and found all the coordinates with ease. I have a map of Seminole coming in the mail that will have gps coordinates on it and also have a gps in my boat. I am now really looking forward to coming down in November. We fished in that general area but we only fished in a small area which you described. Thanks for the tip about fishing the worms right next to the trees. I most surely call when we get down there. So many people guard their "fishing holes" as if they were gold. We returned all the fish that we caught last year, so I know that they are still in the lake. Thanks again. Harry Flater

Anyways, im about to leave, i have one of those silver crankbaits, its actually just a curved cone with the large end having a scoop with an angle, it dives around 12ft. Last year i caught all my pike on it, 16 pike, 1 day, and all from the dock. Im gunna try just about everything you said. again, thanks alot jordon

2009-06-02Wendy10101010YesYou are my HERO!!! I snuck up on the Bass, made a lot less noise, and began using lures! I caught one big one, but it flipped off the hook! I spoke with the development that I live in and explained to them that we need lots of brush and cover around the pond. Also, a giant log for the turtles! She is going to see what she can do about having it fixed up! We have a nice little eco-system in there! I will surely let you know when I catch my next bass! Thank you so much for your helpful suggestions! Wendy

2009-05-04Jeff Spicer10101010YesWow! I can't believe there are folks out there willing to help to this degree. Informative is not the word, more like talking to a good friend that really knows his stuff. I'll be making many changes in my Bass Fishing techniques. Thanx, very much, Jeff in Reno, Nevada

2009-04-19duane10101010NoI know this is a big fish lake they have a slot size here bass between 16 and 20 inches have to be thrown back no matter how much they weigh that's a killer
2009-04-12Mike10101010YesThank you Jack, for your reply! I appreciate your ideas. Once I ever get it set up I'll get back to you. Best..Mike E.
2009-04-02ryan10101010NoThanks a lot for your suggestions. I know what you mean about getting hung up on all the fancy industry terms. I'm a pretty avid bow-hunter and this phenomenon is even worse in the bow-hunting world. Everyone gets all crazy with hype about the technical intricacies with bows, when in the end, the best bow is a comfortable bow.
2009-03-30Caleb10101010YesThank you sir! Definetly encourages me to het out there!

2009-03-01Bruce10101010YesMr Jack was very quick and very expanse with his answer. I was surprised at the length of his answer. I thought I would just get a little answer but he really gave an in depth answer. I was very satisfied. Bruce
2009-02-20Ken10101010NoThanks, Jack your providing a great deal of info as is. We were kind of interested in the area down from the park. Several miles down there is a big area of standing and broken timber.Know anything about that area? Thanks again, Ken

Jack Gaither

Expertise

I have been bass, crappie, brim and catfishing for over 60 years. Most of my recent experience has been on the Apalachicola R. in Fl. panhandle, Dead Lakes and Lake Seminole. I can answer many questions on places to go and some ideas on tactics especially for largemouth bass in these waters. I can`t tell you what fish will bite but can give some lures and methods that have worked well for me over the last 33 years in this area. I am also well versed on boating safety and small boat handling.

Experience

I am not a guide nor a writer or publisher of any magazine on fishing. All of my ideas would come from my experiences and those of fishing partners in local bass clubs in Panama City, Florida.
