2009-11-23Victor10101010NoAnthony, You are on the right mark. The problem is with the restaurant that my pipe is connected to or runs parallel to. They take care of their drains, but it's the dishwasher that was the culprit. Obviously, the sewage odor occurs when the machine is in use for some reason(s). The odor seeps through wall crevices to my side. They will put a device or cover to prevent that from happening. Thanks for the propmpt and helpful reply. Victor

2009-10-17Derek10101010NoThere is a product called Affresh, it deodorizes and cleans the tub. The product removes the mildew smell. Works better than bleach, read and follow the instructions. It was a low cost way to resolve our problem, thanks for your help.

2009-10-16Matthew1010710YesThank you, Anthony. I did get another estimate, from a company who did a camera snake for free (rather than charging me $300 like the first guy). There was now no trace of the obstruction, and this second plumber said that my sewer line looked in very good condition and was scratching his head as to why the first guy would have recommended putting a pipe liner in. He also informed us that all the work the first guy wanted to do would not have solved the problem we initially called him for, which was a rattling in our pipes. Turns out it was a faulty pressure regulator. Thanks for the info!!

2009-10-12Adam10101010YesThe answer was very well written. I have next to nothing when it comes to plumbing knowledge, and yet I clearly understand what steps I should take and how to best implement the suggestions I was given. Anthony was direct, honest and concise. Exactly what I would expect from someone with the tile of "Expert" Well done Anthony and thanks again for the help!

2009-10-05Joe1010810NoThank you very much for nailing that answer. As soon as I put in about a cup of bleach there was an improvement. I will do it a couple of more times for good measure. I don't know but perhaps there was some stagnant water in the overflow which would get activated by the drain as well? Without your help, I probably would have started to redo the drain piping. I appreciate your help very much. Joe
2009-10-05John10101010NoAnthony; Thanks for your prompt response. The leaves are just starting to turn. Also, if you come back to NYS stop in Poughkeepsie and see the just opened longest pedestrian walkway in the WORLD,an old railroad Bridge over the Hudson River. It offers the best views of Hudson Valley foliage!

Anthony - The Plumber

Expertise

I can answer most questions in the field of plumbing home repair for the inside or outside property of a home including irrigation systems, septic systems, well water systems, recirculation systems and I can address these questions from a beginning plumbing standpoint or for someone who has more advanced skills.

Are you working on an addition or remodelling? Need some bathroom or kitchen design ideas?

Run your questions by me since I enjoy that challenge of remodelling & new construction projects.

Experience

I have worked on a variety of major projects including Home Depot as an outsourced Project Manager tasked to repair the fire system at the Fullerton/Placentia store and distribution center in Orange County. I believe in simplifying any task I am assigned in order to avoid wasting time and material, while I always look for the simplest solution possible to the issue and then I execute my plan. Having lead many construction crews, large and small, I have been involved in residential and commercial repair and remodel projects including medical facilities, new home construction, high rises and apartment complexes. Building maintenance work in condominium complexes from Playa del Rey to Beverly Hills to the Hollywood Hills are a speciality. I have completed many maintenance work projects at complexes great and small.
