2009-10-02mike10101010Nothanks Robert i found the problem both coils were burned out replaced coils used plug firing tester to confirm . the weird thing is you can connect kill wire on right coil it fires connect left it kills both ( new coils) then i discovered the diode in the kill wires was blown thats as far as i have gotten it runs fine with kill wires disconnected
2009-09-29Nick10101010YesStill needs some fine tuning but I am mowing again...Thanks!

2009-09-24Bob10101010YesThanks a bunch for the suggestions. I had replaced the filter and verified tank was clean. I primed the system by using a large syrnge to the line from tank to fuel pump. I pulled gas from the tank to that line reconnected, adn it seems to run fine now. I guess its a long line and didn't realize it needed to be primed.
2009-09-24Ron10101010Yesthat was really fast thanks

2009-09-03Brett10101010YesThanks so much for your help. I think it was actually the breaking mechanism. I noticed that the mower would not move freely when in neutral and off, so I was looking into what actually breaks it. It seems as thought that mechanism was stuck in place. Have a good one!
2009-09-03Oscar Bowyer9101010NoI rotated the engine by the flywheel, no indication of a key shear. I'll check the blades. I'm not clear how flywheel key or loose blade could cause the yank / reverse engine rotation. Thanks Oscar
2009-09-01Michael10101010NoQuick and easy to understand for a novice. Thanks Robert
2009-08-28shawn10101010Nothanks its really hard to see a bent crankshaft since its never been over reved. my wife was cutting the grass, it was running fine and she turned it off to put some gas in it and it hasnt hit a tap yet. really weired. great one minute and doomed the next after not doing anything. but thank you for your answer shawn
2009-08-27Darren1091010NoI appreciate you taking the time to attempt to answer my question, Mr. Dunn. As this is not your specialty, and I don't know an electric clutch from a toaster, I'm going to pose the question to Eric Jones. I apologize as I should have paid more attention to the specialty notes. Thank you again for your time.
2009-08-26jason keenom10101010YesThanks for the help. That was what I was hoping it might be.
2009-08-26John10101010YesThank you, Robert. We had an idea but now we are sure and able to proceed with the repair.
2009-08-23Jeremy1081010YesThe resulting suggestion was dead-on with the problem at hand. Thanks so much. We initially cleaned the carb but had to search a little to find your directions on this method. Thanks again!
2009-08-21Larry10101010YesHey Robert, Thanks for the input, I hate it when my wife is right, but she does after all have a degree in engine maint. I will have to go home and eat a little crow now.... Thanks buddy....
