| 2009-01-21 | Kathy | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | Yes | Thank you for responding. I guess I knew some of what you wrote, but wanted to hear some solution that would fix the problem...she has to fix herself, huh? My friend is in the area now and dropped in on her (which got her out of her pj's) and she sounded good today. Think she has to focus on other things to keep her mind off of her chatterbox. Thank you soooo much! |

| 2008-12-18 | John | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | No | Dear Ms. Schafer, Thank you very much for taking the time to help me. I have not had a chance to check out the web-site you suggested, will do that next. I do not have the time right now to tell you all of the people that I have contacted about the problems at the VA. The short list would be 6 congressional reps, two US senators, NAMI and 10 or 12 other patient rights and human rights groups. I have also contacted JCAHO, this is what got the VA police to harass me one of the nurses has a boy friend a very large VA cop. All VA hospitals have to be accredited by JCAHO, I am not currently looking at the VA regulation that spells this out but I know that I read it. As far as I know JCAHO did nothing and the patient that nearly died because the staff do not like him is what JCAHO calls a "sentinel event" which is suppose to require them to do something. I am trying desparately to get the abuse to stop, I have seen with my own eyes how they treat people that cannot fight back, so I ..... |
