2009-07-28Scott10101010NoThank you for the information and how quickly you responded. It helps alot. The reason I am asking these questions is b/c my girlfriend and myself are looking at homes... unfortunately my credit is pretty bad, but I want to make sure I can decipher everything and make sure she doesn't get charged out the wazoo. A friend of mine worked as a loan officer at some place and told me that a guy he worked with would try to add 7 points. That's basically where most of my questions stemmed from. So the maximum that can be charged on the back end is 3.5%? I'm assumin that's 3.5 points?! And if you charge 1.5% above par you get that percentage AND it's tagged on to the points you're making (2 + 1.5)? This is freaking complicated stuff. Thank You.
