| 2009-10-01 | Jessica | 10 | 10 | 9 | 10 | No | Wow! Beverly, I cannot thank you enough for your honesty and ethical conduct and and reply to my situation. It is nice to see that one can give honest advice and be completely objective, yet somewhat sympathetic. Your answer did very well to assist me in affirming some things I have forgotten. I do have my whole life ahead of me! Yikes! A scary thought and I didn't think that it was co-dependency, even after reading a plethora of books and keeping them by my bedside, co-dependent no more. Like all matters of dependency issues, I have to remember that it is a constant and lifelong process. Thanks again |

Answers by Expert:
I can answer questions on all addictive behaviors: alcohol, drugs, food, compulsive sex, codependency, gambling, compulsive shoplifting etc.
I have over 20 years experience working in the addiction field. My experience extends to all levels of substance abuse. I've worked in rehabs and detox centers, prisons and half-way houses and have a busy private practice as well as an active website where I can be reached for recovery coaching and consultation. I am a cognitive behavioral therapist, but 12-step programs are an excellent support. When working in the addiction field, there is no cookie-cutter solution. In the recovery field, you witness miracles. That's why I love what I do.
