2009-09-29Hilary991010YesA very reassuring response. I needed to feel that I am doing some things right!
2009-09-27judy10101010NoThank you very much for your thoughtful reply. I knew that after 2 girls, a boy would be different to parent. He is mostly a delightful little boy, full of fun and happiness - it does seem that his emotions get the best of him whether it be excitement, joy or sometimes anger. I have always been an adovacate of using words and I encourage my girls to also be emphatic when he hits - OUCH! That hurts me! I think I will try encouraging him to also use words to express his excitement or jump up and down instead of grabbing. Thanks for opening my eyes to that. I really appreciate your time in answering and reinforcing my path and also adding some other perspective. It was exactly what I was looking for.
