2011-03-05DenoTelevision101010NoMike - Great job! I've never used the service before but must compliment you on the quick turnaround and comprehensiveness of your response. Your response was thorough, provided meaningful context to the existence of the show and most importantly, provided actionable music link for the personal follow-up/access I was seeking in the original question. I must also compliment you on the succinct,well-articulated tone of your response. Thank you very much - weel done! Deno

Thank you so much for, first of all, answering so quickly and then for solving this mystery for me. I was 7 years old when I saw that, 46 years later - I have the answer. Now, I want to see it again! 2010-11-14Ken SheA 1970 Holiday Special101010YesFast and accurate, I believe this was it, I don't remember it being a 9 part series, but it certainly could have been, I'll do some watching of the segments to determine if it is what I was trying to think of, but I do remember the title being The house without a Christmas tree, so I think Mike nailed it! Thank you very much! Ken
2010-10-23ToddLate 1950's/Early 1960's Western11010NoDear Mr. Hensel, Thank you for answering. It is something, but I see it clear in my mind about that show; you know, it is one of those things. Every opening had this guy put on his handkerchief and then go after the train. He was in black, it seems, and he'd pull out his gun and away he went. It was an opening of one of the shows. The only thing is, obviously, he was the main character, but in those days the main character was usually a good guy. Maybe he was a "Robin Hood" outlaw that robbed trains and gave to the poor or something or the opening showed his past life and then the actual show was when he was the good guy? Thank you if you could keep searching. Sincerely, Todd DeFrank
2010-10-15Paul1970's murder mystery101010YesMike, My God, do you sleep at night? You are a gentleman and a scholar. As soon as you mentioned the series: Journey to the Unknown; and Vera Miles, I knew you scored; had Karen Black on my mind but wasn't sure. I was around 12 (height of my tv watching career)and recall it was an inspiration in my ad hoc screenplay writing career (strictly for fun). Stumbled on your "site" last night when I was obsessively pondering, to my wife's chagrin. Thanks again and if you are ever up Boston way, a beer or glass of wine has your name on it. Paul

Expertise

I will try and answer all questions dealing with television...show names, plots, actors, roles, networks, etc...US shows primarily; not real knowledgeable on TV from other countries...I lean heavily into past, more so than current, television...and, my knowledge dealing with "reality" shows is limited, due to the fact that I really can't stand the genre (my apologies to all the "Reality" fans out there...)

Years of watching and cataloging television shows
