It is a sister company using trailers from another company that only uses company drivers. Both companies are owned by brothers, so I assume the owner of this company has landed accounts he needs moved and has back hauls that have little deadhead that work for us contractors who are trying to make it in these "low freight rate" times. Yes, I will get my own plate as I also ran the numbers. I've had my fill carrying and attaching chains for the mountains, idle laws, California, the upper east coast, forced dispatched and the repercussions when I refuse. You certainly know your stuff and I will print off your list; However, many of those are not leasing on at this time or expect more than I will do as it's for less than I can afford. I keep my truck in proper working order, and it costs. Many company trucks and trailers out there are scary. Anyway, thanks for listening and your timely response. Tim |
