2009-11-22LISA10101010YesGREAT ADVICE CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT.
2009-11-16Karen10101010NoThank you so much! This is very, very helpful. I wish we were in NJ ... I would definitely take you up on your offer to help! We are in Des Moines, Iowa, though! Darn. I will start working with her on the drills you suggested. I greatly appreciate your help!
2009-09-23Roger10101010YesKaren answered my question to my utmost satisfaction. She took the time to investigate my question and my daughters injury, to understand fully what I was asking, and gave me more information on how to help my daughter recover from her injury. She is truly is an "EXPERT" Thank you!
2009-07-20Marie-Claude10101010YesThank you for your definitive and swift response...very much appreciated and with a bit of luck you may have helped kids avoid injury!
2009-07-05Lisa10101010YesThank you for such a thoughtful and detailed response. At the very least, we are encouraged to think she won't lose too much during this time off her wrists--and we will load her up with calcium supplements.
2009-04-20Desiree10101010NoGreat reply, very greatful!
2009-04-19Celia10101010NoThank you for your advice. It's very appreciated.
2009-03-05lisa10101010YesThank you very much. This information is extremely helpful in decisions I will need to make.
2009-02-06Lisa10101010YesThank you so much for your quick response. I really appreciate your input. I had a meeting with the owner of the gym and a separate meeting with the coaches this afternoon. I feel like I was able to be a voice for my daughter with your help. Thank you. I hope to see some positive changes at the gym. *fingers crossed*
2008-12-21Jen10101010YesTHANK YOU for your responses and frankness. I truly appreciate them and the time and thought that went into them. My husband and I will review all of this and have to come up with a plan. Unfortunately, this is likely to result in an unhappy 14 yr old. But you are so right with the safety issues and how happy would my daughter be with a broken neck etc? But, I'm rambling... Thank you again! and Happy Holidays!
2008-12-12Jen10101010YesThank you for such a quick and helpful answer

2008-11-15Sidnie10101010NoKaren, Thank you so much! If we are up that way in the near future I will look you up! Thanks also for the other resources and I may "pick your brain" at a later time. In the mean time we have gotten a new coach who was a former Elite gymnast and was trained by Russian gymnasts. She fell in our lap thankfully so I hope that things will turn around. We have also started a running program for the kids-hoping that will help with endurance. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and I will chekc out the sites you listed for me! Sidnie
2008-11-13Jo10101010YesThank you so much for your quick response. The informatiion provided is extreemly helpful.
2008-10-12John10101010NoI appreciate the feed back. I did take her to an indoor rock climb that had a rope ladder with a harness. She climbed to the top I could see she was still shaky...
2008-10-04jenn10101010YesVery quick response. She helped me in the direction that I need to go next.
2008-09-24Pio10101010YesGreat advice Karen, thank you much ! Pio
2008-09-02Kelly10101010YesThanks so much for your expertise, while we do have an excellent coaching staff I would like to share your articles with them and see what they think!
2008-08-29Diana10101010YesHi Karen, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! It truly makes me feel better to know how good of a thing going to a camp like this can be. I'm sure that she will love it! Thanks again, Diana
2008-08-25Gary10101010NoThank you. Looks like we are on the right track!
2008-08-23Dawn10101010YesThank you! I feel a sense of relief with so much emphasis put on grips,I was feeling guilty that I wasnt doing the best for my daughter. Thank you, Karen!
2008-08-19Barbara10101010YesMs. Goeller's response was enormously helpful. When you are the parent of a gymnast who is just starting out, you are really at a loss for sound advise and knowledgeable direction. I felt like I got both from Ms. Goeller.
2008-08-13Cheryl10101010YesThank you very much for the response. It clarifies my confusion completely. No wonder her teacher couldn't tell me an answer, I'm sure she wasn't even born yet during the 80's.
2008-08-01Lisa10101010YesI will give this a try. Thank you so much!
2008-07-14Maria10101010YesThank you for your consideration and helpful response.
2008-05-31Karen10101010YesThank-you for the information. I agree with the poor technique assessment. My daughter's coaches have ranged from recreational coaches, to a first time coach who was a competitive male gymnast. I am hoping that the new gym will help with technique problems. My daughter is seeing a sports specialist Doctor, who is in contact with the personal trainer. She also shares the trainer time with her best friend who is a high level figure skater. The workouts are intense! My daughter is 13 and had a growth spurt in the last year which may be part of problem. She loves gymnasatics, and realizes that at her age she will never be a national level gymnast, but does it more for personal satisfaction. I will direct her to your sites. Thanks again.
2008-05-23Marianne10101010YesVery informative, Answered all my questions thoroughly. Thank you
2008-05-23Amanda10101010YesThank you so much for your input on my daughters problem. We have actually been trying the visualization technique you suggested and it seems to be helping. It has worked most of the time. I tried to tell her coach about her doing only handsprings, and that lasted for about half a class, and then he had her working on hand-whip-hand-full. I deeply appreciate your advice, and I will continue to try your suggestions. We would love to have you take a look at her, but being that we are in Kentucky, I don't think that would be possible. If ever we are in NJ, though! Thanks, Amanda
2008-05-22Marianne10101010YesI am thrilled with this service and found it to be extremely helpful. Karen is a wonderful resource and has a lot of very useful information. Thank You!!
