2008-12-29steven10101010YesJan, Thank you very much for getting back to me. I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know what happens. Is there any particular sealer you recomnd? What do you think of the spray on sealers? It sounds like glazing might be the way to go...any recommendations? Do the sealers or glazes cause a discoloration of the grout? What if they get on the tiles themselves? I guess I'm putting the cart before the horse, and should first focus on cleaning the grout.Thank you again. Steven

2008-03-21wayne10101010NoWell thanx Jan, You helped a lot. Heres a funny thing.....i'm 58 and my mom is 81. She grew up on a farm so I thought she'd know about the smoke smell. She said her mother used to use....ready?.... vinegar in a bucket of water and wash everything. I thought mom was either nuts or wanted my house to smell like a salad. Congrats you have vindicated the old girl. thanx wayne
