| 2009-10-08 | Patrick | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | No | OK, that makes sense. I understood that it goes closed loop after things were hot, but something didn't make sense. I found the water thermostat was stuck full open. Replaced and things are now hot as it should be, but still no closed loop. I measured the O2 sensor lead and voltage stayed at about 338mV. It didnot waiver, even when I pulled a vacuum hose forcing a lean condition. I am suspecting the O2 sensor is bad. Also, found the sensor is only $20! Wow, I thought it'ld be closer to $100. I do confess, I was hoping the heated sensor would achieve operating efficiency by way of the exhaust gases, only it would take longer. Sinse the heater circuit is regulated by the ECM, I did assume the heater is turned on and off by the water temperature sensor's signal to the ECM. I will swap the exhaust manifolds ($13 gaskets) and spring for a new single wire O2 sensor ($20). Thank you, very much, for your help! Patrick |

| 2009-10-07 | Jim | 7 | 7 | 10 | 10 | No | My problem has too many things that could be at fault to really rate the helper properly. I'm very greatful mostly for the fast response. I will try to check deeper into some of his suggestions, but from what I've found so far, I might have to take it to a pro. I like to help others when I can too, so I can really say a heart felt thanks to Sean and all the other Nice People on the team. THANK YOU BO VERY M UCH> Jim |
