2009-11-03Kristen10101010NoThanks for getting back to me so quickly. We did get him from a breeder out in the country and his father had papers but not his mother (we decided to save the extra $100 to spend on him instead of getting a pup with papers) so that makes a lot of sense. Thanks again!

2009-09-23Vanessa10101010YesThank you very much, it is great to get expert advice on this issue and I will take seriously your advice to apply caution. I now feel that I have a better understanding of what is going on in my Beagles head. Thank you very much for your advice and the service you offer in general, its lovely to see people operating in the spirit of this service, well done. Kind regards, Vanessa.
2009-09-17Joni10101010Nothank you so much..I will tell him. He just installed a self closing hinge on the pantry door so his room mates can't forget to close it.. I think the trash should go up or inside a cabinet with a child lock as well. thank you again...

2009-08-17Cynthia10101010YesThe reply to my post was enjoyable and my question was answered. I really liked the way the responder made feel like we were two friends talking about our dogs. Thanks, I will recommend this site to everyone. Cynthia Stavish
2009-08-06Joyce10101010YesThank you for your story it helps to hear other experiences. I guess I just thought since dogs always remember bad things like abuse I thought they probably remember good things as well like their litter mates. Thank you again I will definitely use this website again for furture inquiries. Have a nice day! Joyce

2009-07-21John10101010YesI was pleasantly surprised by the quick response to my question. I have did all that was suggested to me and my mind was put at ease just knowing that it could be taken care of with a few things at the pet store. I will administer the products and give it a couple weeks, but all in all my experince was great with the answer I got.
2009-06-18Karrie9101010NoThe response i got was great and fast. I was amazed. The next day i took my dog to the vet and she suggested crating him while i am gone during the day. This has helped tremendously. I was suprised that the expert did not suggest that. Overall the advise was very helpful

2009-06-17sophie10101010YesI wanted to say how amazed I was at how quickly you responded, it is such a great service you offer. I have since taken him to the vet who is giving him a course of antibiotics for a mouth fold infection and already he is smelling ALOT nicer so that is one thing sorting itself out. HE is ALOT HARDER WORK than I ever imagined a dog to be but also the sweetest and greatest family dog for my children. He is responding very well to training sessions but he better not get his mouth on my chickens again!
2009-05-12carla1081010YesThank you for your response. I wish there was a simpler answer but I completely understand that there is not. It is nice to hear the acknowledgment that this is a real problem that can possibly be dealt with by getting training help. I will certainly go forward with hiring a trainer. I only wonder if she is beyond repair if the behavior is so well ingrained in her. Hopefully it is worth the trouble and extra cash in a time that we must be tightening our belts! I appreciate your time and efforts.
2009-05-01Liz10101010NoI really appreciated the quickness of the response because as a first time dog owner you dont know what to expect and dont want to over react to everything. We had a vet appt on the 23rd and I asked her also and everything is just fine and he is a happy healthy gorgeous hound.
2009-05-01Craig10101010YesI appreciate your honesty. I hear arguments on meds both ways but will take your advice
2009-04-28CJ1010710NoThis answer was about what I expected after reading similar things on the issue. I appreciate the word of caution. :-)
2009-04-26Kat10101010NoI'm definitely going to take his advice!

I am happy to answer BREED SPECIFIC behavioral questions. Please DO NOT ask general training or medical questions!

Experience

I currently have one beagle, a male age 2 1/2 , an 11 yr. old whippet mix and a 5 year old min. poodle. I had to let go of two of my beagles, one 2 years ago to cancer but at the ripe old age of 15 and another one just a few months ago from mutiple medical issues also at 15. I have done rescue work on and off for years as well as fund-raising for the local animal shelter. I worked for a dog magazine in the past (Southern California Dog Magazine). Being a psychotherapist has encouraged me to do in depth studying of animal behavior as well. I have worked with many people to help curb undesirable behaviors in their dogs (or them!) or to form good behaviors. My life is devoted to and surrounded by my dogs........
