My Dad did a westbound crossing on the NORMANDIE in 1937 - what a magnificent sight. Several years ago, on a US TV station I taped a special on the great liners and there was about 3 second view of the NORMANDIE, in color. Imagine, pre-WWII and someone had color film. I took the video tape to a camera store and printed an 8" x 10" of one of the frames and now I have a color photo hanging in my den. Kindest regards, Boies boiesc@earthlink.net |

I have built models for the better part of thirty five years, have taken photographs of U.S. military aircraft and ships for about twenty five years and am currently scratch building a 1/72 nd scale model of the USS Petrof Bay (CVE-80).
