2009-11-10Irene Kelly1081010YesSuzanne, thank you for the reply; the information was very helpful. In addition we had some guidance from military brass. That coupled with your info tied the entire process together. Our event is Thursday and will be very successful. With deep appreciation for your help. Irene
2009-11-07Catherine1091010YesSuzanne, Thank you very much for your suggestions. As fate would have it, I was forced into devising two separate invitations as my employer designated which employees could invite guests gratis and which were expected to pay for their guests. His criteria did not always follow the full time/part time guidelines originally outlined for me. Hence, in order not to offend anyone, two separate invites worded, "You are cordially invited...." or "You and a guest are cordially invited..." with RSVP cards outlining the costs for extra guests. Your assistance was greatly appreciated. Catherine

I am going to do exactly as you advised and I think it is a very appropriate answer that will achieve our goal of not receiving gifts that we can neither use nor want. We will also be able to do it in a way that will not hurt or offend anyone. Thanks again.
