2009-11-11Rinnie10101010NoDuke, Thank you so much for your input. I have been at a loss. The items are a family members who asked me to find out for them. So the items do not have a lot of meaning to me, but I am sure it does to them. I appreciate your input and upfront response though. It is an area I will explore by researching on the net. Maybe i can find out about some of them. Thanks again and God Bless you. Rinnie

2008-01-27Patrick10101010YesDuke, Thanks for your help! I know he is convinced he saw them wear the designer jersey you mentioned. He says he found a picture on the internet, but has yet to produce it. As far as the GT reference, I believe I read that in "The Cotton Bowl Days" by John Eisenberg. It is great book that details so many great memories that I never had the chance to make. It is told through his eyes as a young fan, not a reporter of history, although he is historically factual. He even recounts the Dec. 26, 1970 playoff vs. Detroit which resulted in a 5-0 win. To this days it stands as the only 5-0 score in playoff history, and he was at the game! He says Tex never really liked the oringinal uniforms, and when he was redesigning them he liked the fact that GT wore the numbers on the shoulders, instead of the sleaves, which was the norm for the NFL at the time. But to be honest, I may have read that in one of the many other Cowboy books I have read. I am about 95% sure thats the book I read it in though .....
2008-01-13David10101010NoThanks for the great reply! I think if they went to tackle-twill in 2000, that's probably the same year that the "5" changed. Btw, I didn't really notice that change until I saw old Super Bowl videos from 1992, I didn't notice it when it happened.

Expertise

I have extensive knowledge of the 1990's-Present Dallas Cowboys teams. Specifically, team uniforms, equipment, and so forth. I own numerous Cowboys memorabilia and would love to one day write a book on the evolution of the team's uniforms dating back to their inception in 1960. I may not be able to answer most Cowboys questions prior to the 1990's as I was but a youth at the time :-).

Experience

I try to make annual trips to see the Cowboys in Texas every season. I have a library of various Dallas Cowboy books, football cards, player photos, DVD's and VHS tapes. I have recorded nearly all games from 1998-2007. I am also an artist, so most of my collections such as cards, photos, or memorabilia are not for value, but rather for reference. I appreciate the visual asthetics of the Dallas Cowboys and the game of football. As a hobby, I occasionally customize and paint McFarlane Dallas Cowboy figures to near exact detail as their live counterparts. I also own several game used items, autographs, and roughly 10-12 authentic jerseys with 3 different manufacturers.

Education/Credentials
Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts, Associates of Arts in Graphic Design, Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts with emphasis in Illustration. My dream would be, of course, to work for the Dallas Cowboys organization possibly for their marketing and design team. The Dallas Cowboys annual bluebooks and game programs have always interested me.
