2009-11-11Mo1010910YesThanks Vic, for the clear response and deciphering my question. That is exactly what I was asking and they got it right on the field but wanted make sure I understood why.
2009-11-09George10101010YesVic, Thank you very much. Maybe if I had tuned in earlier in the game, I would have known. Certainly a good cause. Hurah for the Pac 10 officials! Thanks again, george
2009-11-04Stephen10101010NoThanks I appreciate it. I also have a bone to pick with NCAA 2010 for giving my opponent the three points!
2009-10-26Terry10101010YesMr. Winnek--Sorry about the misspelling of your name. Thanks for the reply. I'm having to brush up on the finer points of the rules in prep for coaching kicking at a Div. I school. Haven't actually coached on a staff in more than 40 years, so the rules have changed a bit. Appreciate your dealing with the multiple aspects of each question, that I did not think of at the time. Those other details are crucial. Do you ever do TV games? I'd like to see one if you do.
2009-10-22John10101010YesI think it is great that this man takes time out of his life to answer anyone's question. I am sad some people tend to abuse this kindness and/or denigrate some of his views so that he has had to quit discussing eligibility; all kinds of meanness out there, I guess. Anyway - Vic has my vote for Volunteer of the Month!
2009-10-14kendall10101010YesThanks very much for your expert answer.
2009-09-30Terry10101010YesThanks for your response. Very clear, easy to understand.
2009-09-30Chris10101010YesGreat explanation!
2009-09-28Jim10101010YesThank you for your response. I do think members of the kicking team were ahead of the ball when it was kicked.
2009-09-21Larry10101010NoThank you so much Vic. I have been wrong on this issue. There has been so much confusion since the game occurred. We have used examples of running backs crossing the plane of the goal line etc... Some have suggested as you claimed that the rule changed recently. Nothing we have been able to find from the NCAA's website would really clarify this issue. There was no clarification given during the game. The majority believe the endzone has special rules and therefore all that what necessary was possession and having one foot in. We really believed we got robbed. I will go back to our Husker board and reluctantly admit I was wrong. thank you so much. You get a 10 from me. I hope this wasn't a dumb question. Larry
2009-09-21Tanya10101010YesWow!! Other reviewers were right. Thank you! Quick, very informative and helpful. By the time the game was over I had realized that the bulldogs were as penalized as the hogs. I can apprieciate the the call that was made. These guys do need to act right. I guess I just wish calls could be more uniform. We've all seen actual throwdowns on the field and no calls. (Saw it within a few min after hogs/dogs game). Again though, I don't envy a refs job. Noone likes to be hated by a whole state of fans for two hours. Thank you for keeping games honest and players safe. And you should get volunteer of the month. Thank you- Tanya
2009-09-13Dave10101010YesThank you very much sir. This clarifies my thoughts on this...it sounds like the rule has a few circumstances that dictate whether it's a foul or not. I certainly have a better understanding now.
2009-07-16pat10101010NoThanks for your help vic! you are the best!
2009-06-29Jared10101010YesThank you for responding so quickly. Had I been amongst my normal crew, I would have had a quick discussion with the Referee at the time. However, because it was an IFAF qualifying match we had a Referee from Japan. He was very good, but the language barrier would have interrupted the game for longer than necessary.
2009-06-08keon1010910Yesgreat advice and thank you

2009-01-12Ellen10101010YesThat new rule in Pro ball with the pylon is ridiculous. Just wanted to see if they had changed the rule in college ball as well. Thank you so much.
