2010-10-06triganCleanup boxes which to101010YesRamon Zammit in my opinion is the best expert on the Windows operating system in allexperts.com. I have asked the same or other questions to most other experts and they simply never matched up to Ramon’s knowledge based on experience. Even when the question I asked was so difficult where most other Windows experts stated it was out of their expertise, Ramon gave me the best possible working answer. I take my hat off to Ramon. Well done.
2010-09-14Donsound on laptop garbled101010YesThank you, The trick was to uninstall the Gom player and reinstall it. Reinstalling it over the old did nothing but removing and reinstalling cured the problem.

2010-05-22SarahNeed Registry fix4107NoRamon, about my Registry entry problem, of course if I could have done a system restore, I would have! But since it wasn't an option, that's why I wrote to you. I gather you didn't know the answer, but thanks anyway.

2010-03-14MartySlow loading pages in101010YesYou were on the right track. When I went to the link to attempt to remove the downloaded MS updates I got a message that it was dangerous to do so and that it might cause "damage" to my computer to use that program. I figured I might want to try something a bit less drastic and gave MS the benefit of the doubt that they didn't screwup my computer with their updates. I thought about all the programs and services that I updated which were running all the time and I decided to uninstall them first one at a time. After uninstalling my AVG antivirus software everything returned to normal. I had downloaded a large group of updates from AVG as it hadn't run in over a month. This is something I routinely do with no problems. This time is causd a major problem that slowed my computer down to a crawl. Everything is back to normal and I'll either download a fresh copy of AVG or I'll try a different antivirus. Thanks for your prompt reply and for guiding me in the right direction.
