The problem with Southern California is that anything with a mile of a road still feels like LA. And water is a massive concern given the incredible heat and lack of precipitation. I believe that I found a hike that is 5.7 miles but a pretty steep climb to a source with plenty of water. We can relax there for 24 hrs before turning back around. This will give time for unwinding. I think this kid can make it and have a great time with his 2 uncles if we handle almost all the weight and take it slow with plenty of stops. Am I fooling myself? |
