2009-11-18Barry891010NoThe Honeywell unit is an air cleaner, and now running as silently as new. THANK YOU for your reply! After getting into the motor they appear to be simple metal bushings that surround the shaft, not bearings, but they were very dry. After the recent purchase of a main replacement filter for 65 dollars, I did not want to abort the whole unit. THANKS AGAIN for your help!

2009-11-07Sherry1081010NoVery good info. But I am also wondering how much the item is worth in excellent condition.
2009-11-04Chris10101010YesOh, grease. Doesn't sound very healthy or appetizing. Great machine, though. Gotta' change it to newer grease? ew. Would have to. Don't really want to risk use as is. Thank your for your honesty.
2009-11-03Mary10101010YesI was very impressed with the timeliness and accuracy of the e-mail response and the actual ordering of the part via phone.
2009-10-30Larry10101010YesHi Wayne, Well, I suppose they could be fuses but I've never seen any that looked like these. Since they are in-line and going to one end of the heater element I suppose they could be some type of fuse but why would they be in series? Anyway, to save time, I went to the local Goodwill and picked up a non programmable Mr Coffee assuming they use the same parts. I was correct and so, for the $5 I replaced the whole heating element along with the "thermisters". All seems to be fine now. Thanks again for your help.
2009-10-22christine10101010Yesi was surprised how quickly I received a response--within 8 hours. Thanks for having such a wonderful resource at our fingertips. Many times a problem is just a simple fix and it's great to know that someone is willing to share their knowledge to help someone out. It can save time, trouble and not to mention a huge expense. I'm a do-it-yourselfer and consider myself quite handy so I'm willing to give a repair a shot. I don't like throwing away perfectly good items into the trash if it can be saved.
