Without removing the part I was able to rotate the wheel one revolution which unlocked the door. I do believe the switch is fried so I would like a quote one a new one. If only a few months, I'll weigh the repair kit option then against how much I need the freezer. Now that I know how to get in there, I can get back in maybe an hour or less. I've probably fooled with it for 3 or 4 hours on this go around. Thanks for the insights. I'll keep you apprised of the results. Charles Jones
