As for the Foos, I get the feeling a lot of the die-hard Nirvana fans don't really care for Dave's new band, but I think this is VERY unfortunate, and I am almost positive that Kurt would have liked the Foo Fighters. Krist has said they are HIS favorite band! Also, keep in mind, the Foos were first "birthed" in Nirvana, as Dave contributed "Marigold" to the "Heart-Shaped Box" single, the former now being a full-fledged Foo song, off of "Skin & Bones". Also, Dave wrote the guitar riff for "Scentless Apprentice", which, to me, is easily one of the best Nirvana songs. So, I think you should check out the Foos live, and I'm pretty sure you'll be blown away! Dave is an unbelievable songwriter and head-man, in his own right, so I say give them a shot! I can answer any question about the release history of NIRVANA from 1989-Present. I can also answer you question about the history of the band, life & death of Kurt Cobain, the remaining members of NIRVANA, and any question about his family. I can also assist you in Tour Dates, and Live Shows dealing with the band. I have been volunteerig for AllExperts.com since 1999 before it was purchased by About.com sometime in the 00's. You can find all of the answers to previously asked public questions dating back to 1999. I edited and published a NIRVANA newsletter (NIRVANA FOREVER), and online zine (About a Son, Lithium) that ran 7 years on America Online. I've founded and sistered a lot of NIRVANA communities on LiveJournal(NIRVANA FOREVER, Kurt & Jim, and NIRVANA Elitests), and Yahoo(NIRVANA FOREVER).
Experience
I have been featured in 1 NIRVANA book.(Eyewitness NIRVANA by Carrie Borzillo; rock news editor for cdnow.com (which is now amazon.com) I have seen every video, and read every book. I own them all and can; and do use them for reference sometimes. I have also experienced NIRVANA live at the show in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1993.
