2009-05-14david10101010YesThank you for your in-depth response. When I referred to film footage that I have seen, I did not mean Hollywood movies - I meant documenty footage. In any case, I had no idea of the strength of bullets as you describe it, so any shield would have to be quite thick and heavy, which would have impeded the agility and beach landings on D-Day. I suppose shields would be a good thing if mobility was not an issue, but in that case all you'd need would be a fort.
2009-05-12Franklin10101010NoThank you for corecting my terminology and for giving me sucha large, and easy to understand, amount of information.
2009-05-11Ted10101010YesThis is good information, and I thank you for your help.
2009-05-02Ted10101010YesThis is by far the best response that I have received to a question posted on AllExperts. Mr. Patton is very knowledgeable about the topic and even provided suggestions for additional reading. It is obvious that it is a topic that he enjoys. Thank you very much for the informative response.
