2009-05-13Joe10101010YesTom, thank you so much for your incredibly fast response. I had not read the text of the laws I was talking about -- a very dangerous failure -- and so was unaware of the exemption to which you refer. Much appreciated. Joe Oliver
2009-04-06William10101010YesThank you so much for confirming whatI already suspected!
2009-01-28Joshua Casper881010NoFound it a bit off-putting and bothersome that felt like one need affirm ones motive and validate identity though understand from whence he is coming as I find cheating and the like abhorrent. Answer was concise, and timely , it was "just"an answer. Though framed in the affirmative I'd have hoped for a bit of explanation as to why, insight or the such, not so as to apply it to my work, but to better execute my own. That being said I am just providing comprehensive critque; I thank you kindly for your time and effort in answering my question Prof Schott and wish you the best of luck in future endeavors. If you necessitate a grad student or the like for some research or writing feel free to contact me. Best, J Casper
2009-01-16Tim7101010NoMy question was pretty tough as it dealt with a very small population with really no documentation, so all I really expected was a push in the direction of finding some answers, which he was willing to provde. Saying that, my rating for this expert's knowledge can not truly be genuine. Response was extremely fast and polite however, and I greatly appreaciate it!

2007-12-18joy10101010YesI want to thank you. After reading your answer, I have decided that you are correct. There is no such person. The reason for my question is for a trivia game being played on a local radio station. I have come to the conclusion that this is a trick question. Now if I can just get through on the phone lines!! LOL. Thank You again and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Joy B.
2007-12-07Harry Hayfield10101010YesThank you very much indeed. The reason why I mentioned the Alabama Claims is because it is directly mentioned in the actual book as relating to San Francisco (and therefore I have decided to include it)

2005-08-02Chris10101010YesI asked a question that was hard because its answer is probably undocumented. Tom gave it his best shot, seemed confident, and concurred with other experts.
2005-07-20Chris81059NoThanks for your reply.
2005-04-21Hugh10101010NoI'm so glad I found this source. Tom did a good job. His answer was short and simple and he provided an excellent article that fleshed things out. Thanks, Tom. Paul
2005-04-05Jeannie Gish8101010NoRather unusual questions, to be sure, and I was unsure if I would be able to find suitable answers - alternate history, after all, is not history. I appreciate your effort and thanks for the additional insight. If, by chance you're interested in the final result of this, you should be able to contact me via the email option at: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/libr/j/k/jkbowers/ (at least you may after they correct some hardware problems they're having at the moment)...
