2009-11-06Tricia10101010YesThank you so much for your quick reply. We took him to the vet and the vet actually said almost the same thing you said. The vet believes it's either lower back pain due to muscles or nerves. He's now on a muscle relaxer and pain reliever. We're going to see how that helps him. If he doesn't feel better after resting for a week and taking it easy, we're going to do an x-ray. Last time he was under anesthesia he developed bloat and almost died so we're hesitant to put him under. Thanks again for your advice and hopefully he gets better soon!

2009-11-01Wendy10101010YesThis Expert provided a speedy and useful answer. When I didn't provide all the information she needed in the first request, she suggested that I provide the rest of the information so she could provide a more thorough response. I felt like she was knowledgable and caring. A great combination

2009-10-31Vanessa10101010YesI greatly appreciated the quick response and article that was sent to me as well. We were told by our vet to ise science diet but we were not explained why. The explanation for the diet usage was very helpful in increasing our knowledge as well as ease some anxiety. Thank you.

2009-10-27Samantha10101010YesThank you for answering my question, I would have replied sooner but I had other stuff going on. I did take Buddy into the vets today, since I was unable yesterday. They said all his vitals are good, and he doesn't need a booster. But I did have to restart his distemper vaccines, because somehow I have missed an appointment back in January for the last dose of the vacc. They also said if I didn't get his rabies shot done, then it would have been way to late to do a dose, and the disease would have kicked in by now. So I have to take him back in 3 weeks for the second dose of distemper. Thank you for helping me and answering my question. Hope you have a great day!
2009-10-26renee10101010YesThank you for quick response to my question. I will call the vet imediately.
2009-10-26Dawn10101010YesThank you so much, It makes perfect sense, we have the father in the house too. Although, she is upstairs in the master bathroom, the father does wander up there to see what is going on. We do try to keep him away, but we don't want to lock her in the bathroom. Thank You Again.

Expertise

PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING TO ME: I am NOT a vet and do NOT diagnose diseases. That is only for a licensed Veterinarian to do. I will give you suggestions and steer you toward calling your vet for help. You can call the vet's office and talk to the technician there or the vet at times. Don't be afraid to call them! If you have a serious issue with your pet please post it to one of the veterinarians in here- I will tell you the same thing in my answer. IF your pet is injured or in an emergency situation, CALL YOUR VET- Do not wait and post in here. Just call the vet's office and get them in to see the vet right away. Critical treatment time is lost if you seek answers here when you should have your precious pet at the vets!! Don't sit at home waiting for an answer when your pet is critically ill or injured!! I can answer most questions about small animal and wildlife care as well as small animal nutrition. I can also answer questions about all phases of dental care for small animals. I DO NOT do birds (unless it is wildlife or songbirds) or HAMSTERS/GERBILS/CHINS/GUINEA PIGS/REPTILES/FROGS/RABBITS/PET BIRDS OF ANY KIND so please submit these questions to the appropriate sections. I, as well as other experts in here, do NOT do homework questions- that is for YOU to do! Please respect these rules for all of us. Thanks!
