2009-09-25Alana10101010NoI think it must have been just shock or something, or maybe it was a bruise like you said it might be, because it's been a day, and he's no longer dragging his legs, now he just limps on one of his hind legs. He's still eating and is pretty active. Thanks for the information.

2009-09-06Jim10101010YesThank you very much, BPC! I've seen brownish garter snakes in Texas, but never one with these markings. I feel guilty that, while trying to photograph the reptile, I disturbed it enough that the "tasty" meal was abandoned! It never returned for the food (which I suspect was really a toad). Thanks again, -Jim

2009-08-27Mimi810108NoExpert was very clear and timely.I don't think my question was answered.I would have liked him to offer websites so I could do further research on my own.I'm not really sure of his knowledge or politeness because I felt he did not put alot of time/effort/research into my question. He seemed to be guessing and appeared to be short...kind of going through the motions to get it done. SORRY!

2009-08-07Adam7101010NoThank you for the response. I don't think it's a tumor, but i hadn't thought of a cyst. No, I don't think surgery would realistically be an option. I'm treating her orally with the Tetracycline, and using Melafix in her water. Also keeping her warmer and extra calcium on her roaches. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's just a bad infection that he can overcome.
2009-08-05Joe10101010NoThank you very much and i will do that.
