2009-11-02Jacqueline10101010YesTracie, I tried to ask a follow-up but it says you are maxed out :( I uploaded a few pix on photobucket: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c40/xpsychofroggyx/SoBe/IMG_1538.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c40/xpsychofroggyx/SoBe/IMG_1536.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c40/xpsychofroggyx/SoBe/IMG_1539.jpg He seems a little more alert today, moved around in the last hour and eyes open when I talk to him. To keep him hydrated, should I be trying to force feed him water? I have the small syringe that I gave him meds with, but how much and how often? For baby food, do I leave it in his cage to find or force feed that too? And again, how much and often? When you say lower his protein intake, does that mean less superworms? I use a small tank thermometer, not sure what type exactly but I place it directly under the heat lamp to know the max temp. Last night and today he has been sitting directly under the heat lamp, would he do that if he was overheated? His coloring is usually a light green but it looks like he is getting lighter tan and starting to flake a bit. Thank you SO much for the quick response, Ill be getting the .....

I will give him two weeks rest and get the the MVB bulb for heat and uvb, the extra calcium and the saline drops that you suggested. I will keep you posted on his progress. Thanks again!

2009-10-29Daniel10101010YesThanks Tracie, Your help is much appreciated. Thanks & Regards, Dan.
2009-10-23Lisa10101010NoThank you Tracie, He is drinking, but I am not sure he has passed a stool yet, so I will definitely try the pumpkin to assist with the digestion. When I put the 24 crickets in he usually eats them over time so there has never been a problem. But thank you very much I will be sure to limit the number of meal worms in the future
2009-10-21Samantha1010710YesIts nice to know that there are people out there who know enough and care enough to help people with thier exotic pet issues. Its easy to find help with your dog or cat, but for those of us who prefer the reptilian side of the animal kingdom to love its a little harder. Thnank for all your help, both medical and with the motherly/fatherly concern we have.
2009-10-20Camille10101010YesTracie has gone above an beyond the call of duty with my Uromastyx Suey. She diagnosed her with Metabolic Bone Disease and hit the nail right on the head (unfortunately for Suey)! Suey was in very bad condition and I couldn't afford to take her to the vet and Tracie told me what to do and Suey is now on her way to a full recovery. I can't thank her enough! She deserves not only Volunteer of the month, but volunteer of the year and I mean that with all my heart(Suey and I both do)! Thanks to Tracie, my baby girl has a chance to make a full recovery and without her help, she would have surely died within days!

My gecko seems to being doing pretty good today, same as always...and I can see that her skin is finally coming off slowly but surely, as I bathed her like you said. Thanks again! ~Cheyenne

2009-09-29Deanna10101010YesThanks, I wondered if she just wasn't hungry because of the gel supplement. I'll try decresing it. She hasn't eaten on her own for more than 3 weeks, except 1 meal worm and 1 cricket.

Expertise

I can answer questions pertaining to health, UVB specifics, overall husbandry care & supplementation, analysis of blood test results, and behavioral problems & handling. I can answer questions pertaining to bearded dragons, leopard geckos, iguanas, uromastyx & ball pythons. I can answer adeno virus related questions in bearded dragons, & then specifically about the testing methods as well. I am beginning an Pogona Adeno Testing Society in 2008 which will help to begin to start some standardization within the bearded dragon colonies of the breeders who choose to test.

Experience

I have been working with bearded dragons for over 5 years now, as well as leopard geckos, too. I am currently doing rescues, as well. I hope to be able to educate people prior to them purchasing an exotic pet in order to avoid any health crisis with them.

Education/Credentials
I have a master's degree in sports medicine & physiology, & 1 year of vet tech schooling, & am currently working on a reptile certification through the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council.
