2009-09-24Megan10101010YesThank you very much for your quick response. I figured I wouldn't risk it since I didn't know how it would turn out so I made spinach dip instead but it's good to know for future reference! Thanks again! Megan

2009-09-17Carolyn10101010YesThank you very much for responding so quickly!! Our community is attempting a 'Pie Day' fundraiser. We are hoping to have at least 100 pies ordered and wanted to keep up to the dough required as the orders come in. Then we only have to thaw and roll out and fill and package on the big day. Thanks again, Carolyn and the ladies from Penniac
2009-09-11Nick10101010YesThank you, I will give it try ............ Nick
2009-08-23Helen10101010YesThank you so much for responding so quick! I will try this and see if it fixes my problem. It makes sense altho my recipe had me use a biscuit cutter. Go figure huh, makes sense to shape them by hand. Can't wait to try again.
2009-08-23Marissa Arber10101010Nothanks let's see what happens next time.
2009-08-21Raquel10101010NoYeah, using a different shape tool is a good idea. I'll try it. Thanks for helping

2009-08-20Kathy10101010NoI believe that milling my own flour is healthier than buying the grain already made into flour (I could be wrong). Anyway I am in a real learning period now, so far we've eaten all my mistakes. Thanks for your answer, Kathy

2009-06-10Dave10101010YesElyse Thanks for that. I will try your method of preapring the loaf before baking as i do not not do anything like that! Thanks again for the prompt response
2009-06-05Lesley10101010YesThanks so much for your very quick response! What you're saying makes sense. I think I'll use a bit less yeast & shorten the first rising time. Thanks again, I really appreciate your input.

Expertise

I can answer any questions about baking. The only thing I'm not too good at is baking pies, nor do I know much about high altitude baking.

Experience

I have been baking for over 30 years. One of my hobbies is creating recipes, most of those for baked goods. I made my own wedding cake. Currently I prefer to bake healthier things. I use a lot of whole wheat and other whole grain flours, and prefer to use less sugar or sugar substitutes in my baking. I do a lot with fruit.
