2009-10-28Jerry10101010YesNever got back to you. I am sorry for that. There was a pressure sensor that I have been told was an experimental deal on Chevy's part and it was to determine that car was in cruise speed and to allow for timing retardation for fuel savings. I removed sensor and plugged hole with $0.35 pipe plug. Ran toggle switch and tried to see difference by turning on at cruising speed and turning off at cruise speed. Never helped either way. Sensor was just above pan lip on passenger side at frontmost position ahead of another sensor. Had to use a telescoping mirror and flashlight in order to find it. Cracked near wire terminal. Transmission shop told me what it's function was but neither parts men or dealers could even fanthom that idea and could not provide one for me. I was cleaning and organizing my email and realized I never did this follow-up. I wanted to let you know in case you need the info for somebody else someday. Thank you so very much for your time and effort. I apologize for my neglect in this matter. So there you have it on this day, 28 Oct 09

2009-09-25Brian Deida10101010YesThanks for responding so quickly! I will check those things out. I do know that there is no history on it because I have already checked. Thank you once again...I'll let you know what I find.
2009-09-03James10101010Nothanks for the help. i figured it out. apparently the timing chain, sprockets and everything was replaced right before i bought the car the problem was whoever installed it did not in-gauge the tensioner "pushing it down so it will pop up". so i got a nice car and new timing parts for free and a easy fix. thanks again

2009-08-13Glenn10101010YesThank you so much for such a quick response... I really didn't want to drop the fuel tank without knowing for sure. Fuel pumps are expensive but knowing this will take some of the pain out of the project. Thanks again Robert! This website is truly amazing!!! glenn

2009-06-17Mike10101010YesDeeply appreciate the info. thought it was interesting that I contacted local chevy dealer & found that a TSB has been issued on this problem. Found too that they have been doing a "bunch" of the hydroboosts lately. Will check all your suggestions & get back. Even though I am a mechanic & own my shop, I did check with other shops & they were as stumped as I. Just shows we are not all Einsteins!
