2009-11-03Pete10101010NoThanks Chris, I will look for the daytime running light module. (car is not here right now or I would have reported check results right now.) I suspect it is not equipped tho. Hadn't thought about the headlight switch. I'll check it by pushing it around to see if that has any affect. Car is equipped with auto shutdown timer for headlghts. (Part of the switch mechanism.) Adds to the complication. As a result of your suggestion(s) I must also add the photocell that keeps the head lights off in daylight. That's part of the sytem with auto shut-down of lights. Could be dirty or fauty in it's output. Thinking about it the car is 15 years old. Make sense to replace this switch now while available. Some of this stuff can get iffy on the supply route... I have put the throttle position sensor on the to do list. (15 years old!) I lost a transmission on a Ford pickup due to tps sending bad info the the tramsmission. I had noticed tranny responses to slight changes on throttle foot pressure. At the time I didnt even know ther was such a thing. Life is a learning .....

2009-08-02Malia10101010NoA different answer was posted which explained that the tubes feeding into/out of the tank can become blocked with debris/spider webs as well. I took THAT answer and THIS answer you gave me to my mechanics (who are awesome as well), and lo and behold a LARGE wad of what appeared to be spider webs (white, cotton looking) came shooting out of the tubes. I went to the gas station and YIPPEEEEE...my tank filled all the way to full with NO spurting gas. Thanks for your response to my inquiry!
