2009-05-25Nicolaas10101010NoNo, I did not take offense at all. In fact, you were absolutely right, because in over-thinking I had in fact thought only in concepts, only 'seen the buddha'. Sometimes it takes another's judgement to see yourself. I agree that 'going it alone' would be a problem, but I do not have much of a choice. I hope that, in three or so years, when I go to college I can find a proper study group. But until then it seems I will have to do this by myself. Thank you for your help

Experience

I was brought up in the 50's as a Buddhist. For the past 30 years I have read numerous books on Buddhism and listened to numerous talks on Buddhism by well-respected and learned monks and lay teachers. I conduct Buddhist classes for parents of Sunday School children in a Theravada Buddhist Temple. My teacher was the late Chief Reverend, The Ven.
