I understand that without actually "seeing" the situation it is difficult to make a definitive statement about the quality of the work I had done. And it does make sense that little time was required because, most likely, my teeth and gums are in good shape. So, after you're reading your answer, I now think a large part of my discomfort was that the dentist is new to me (and that along with a new technique made me a little uncertain). I appreciate your thoughtful (and quick) assessment of the situation I presented and will now "let it rest". Will also reconsider my semi-annual cleanings (maybe will move to every 9 months?) Loved the story about the ad on Amos and Andy!! Your informed, knowledgable and considerate reply makes this an invaluable service. Jean

It would have been still better, if he had given the type of "temporary " that would need earliest crowning within a week of the root canal and also the "temporary" that would permit a few months Of gap after root canal. The answer could. Have included the optimum days to wait after root canal for the root canal "temporary" to set before Doing the crowning, if such a setting time is needed.
