Ask James Triggs a Question about Pro Wrestling

Important:

Please read the following and "Instructions from the Expert" carefully before you post the question:

  • Please don't set your question to private unless it will personally identify you. The public questions will get high priority to be answered and can benefit more users. Don't put your personal information in the question.

  • After you submit your question, we'll send you an email as a receipt. You will be notified when the answer is ready. Please make sure your email server does not block or filter out emails from allexperts.com.

  • AllExperts is a 100% free site. Our experts spend lots of time to answer your questions. We ask only that you thank and rate the volunteer's answer upon your return.

Instructions from the Expert:

Feel free to ask any question on professional wrestling. If I can't answer it, that means you won't find the information on the 'net, either. I am willing to do some exhaustive research to answer your questions and will consider each question seriously. I have print resources at my disposal as well as my memories and existing knowledge.

However, you must include some information. Your name or alias, so I may properly address you is a must and a description or name of whatever you're trying to find out.

If you are asking about becoming a professional wrestler, or about professional wrestling schools, please give me a general location so I provide location-specific information. If in the US, the state, such as 'Florida' or a more specific location is required unless you are willing to move anywhere throughout the country.

If outside the US, the country is sufficient.

If you want to find out when a match was held, or where, or the last time a certain kind of match occurred, I need to know as much as possible. As records are spotty, I cannot guarantee an complete answer.

If you have any questions to ask after I have answered you, please DO NOT leave the question in a comment- its unlikely that I will find it in a timely matter. If your question is not private, others will read the answer and to ensure others can find it, due to the way search engines work, I can't edit the answers unless neccesary. Please ask a follow-up question instead.

I'm a busy person, between homework and the other things I do. I will try to answer your question as soon as possible, but that sometimes takes a while, especially with questions requiring a good deal of research. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for asking!

I can answer just about everything about professional wrestling and what I don't know I can usually track down or else account for. Wrestlers, wrestling schools, finishers, wrestling history, title histories, etc... I can track down where you can find wrestling videos too, but I will not help anyone infringe copyright. I specialise in professional wrestling schools as well as the the art of promotion. I can track down information about most promotions. I am always expanding my knowledge of pro wrestling and will consider every question seriously.

Experience

I've been a fan of professional wrestling since 2001 and in my spare time I watch the classic matches, in addition to keeping up to date with all the major promotions in the world. Thanks to my work here, I have gained experience on the creative side of things, particularly in the answers to the questions from the Deadly Wrestling Alliance as well as various independent wrestlers. I now contribute articles to Bleacher Report, most notably being involved in the Spotlighting the Indies series. My 'Raisha Saeed Needs to Take Off Her Clothes' article appeared on Cheerleader Melissa's Twitter and played a small role in the development of Alissa Flash, a true honour. I am a regular columnist and contributor for The Wrestling Daily, as part of a select group. You can read my column, the Wide World of Wrestling, there. It provides insights on the world of professional wrestling without the 'doom and gloom' mentality found elsewhere. The Wrestling Daily is a new and rising site with a stellar cast of writers (though I would prefer the reviews the others do to be more comprehensive) and covers wrestling from around the world. I write other pieces there too. I will begin contributing to the montly free online magazine Pro Wrestling Press, once I find time and work out what I am doing. The publication features some of the best writers from the UK and the world with interviews, commentary and competitions. Former 20 year-veteran wrestler Dusty Wolfe and current wrestler Mickie Knuckles are also regular contributers. The magazine also features Steve Ashfield of Piledriver Online. I am continuing to develop my writing skills, too.
