Expertise

Western Union is in the business of sending money but sometimes people send money for reasons other than what Western Union was intended for which is Friends and Family that is where I come in. As a Fraud CSR I answer peoples questions about whether they are sending money to legitimate people or if they are the potential victim of a fraud. I will research the people or companies you intend to send to and give you answer as soon as possible. I can give you tips on what to look for if you are unsure something is a fraud.

Experience

I have been working at Western Union for 9 months and the Fraud Department for 6. I am trained to recognize potential frauds such as loan frauds, email frauds, inheritance scams, lottery frauds, pet frauds, counterfeit cheques and many other type of frauds. Once I have establish that fraud is present I alert the customer and advise them not to send their money under any circumstances. If the customer has already sent the money I provide them with advice and provide them with numbers to contact. I am very good listener and empathetic. No matter how much money you may have lost fraud is a serious thing and if I can save a person even $10.00 than I am happy.I am also very honest and will let you know where you stand without offering false hope.
